Marine Projects

Through partnerships and information sharing, the goal of FCF Marine Projects is to help design and implement effective conservation strategies to support valuable recreational fisheries.

We work under the principle that if a fishery is thriving, there is a direct connection that the associated ecosystem is healthy: wetlands filter pollutants and retain nutrients; barrier islands and mangrove forests provide significant protections against coastal storms; salt marshes provide nursery grounds for a variety of marine organisms.

To raise the level of awareness on critical marine issues and their impact on recreational fisheries, FCF Marine Projects focus on research and outreach to communicate the most current scientific information to stakeholders. It is our hope that our work will influence the course of action to protect marine fisheries and the habitats on which they rely.
