International Mahseer Conference 2020
The 2020 International Mahseer Conference took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand at Maejo University, February 11 – 15, 2020. It was another amazing gathering of biologists, conservation professionals, ichthyologists, managers, and students with an interest in Mahseer and river conservation.
The goal of the International Mahseer Conferences is to share the research findings, build collaborations, promote the development of studies on Mahseers, and devise conservation strategies. Building on what was achieved at the first IMC in Bhutan, the Chiang Mai conference focused on greater regional communications and how working groups can focus on specific topics.
Many thanks go to Dr. Apinun Suvarnaraksha, Chair of the IMC Organizing Committee, and his staff and colleagues at Maejo University in Chiang Mai. Their hospitality was amazing!
